Support » Fixing WordPress » IE not showing Media & Text Block side by side

  • I am in the process of upgrading the company website, I have been using Chrome to do the upgrade and all looked fine. However when I viewed the website via Internet Explorer this morning I noticed that the Media & Text blocks that are side by side on Chrome are displayed with the image above the text on Internet Explorer.

I have cleared the IE cache but it didn’t help.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a config issue within WordPress or an IE issue.

    Thank you.

I have the same exact problem. Worse because the client noticed it before I did (since I’ve long since given up on IE). Please advise when/if there is a solution!! really unfortunate since the media-text module looks great on all other devices and browsers.

I found this – if you copy the 2nd suggested code into your custom css it “kind of” works. https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues/11577
Not perfect – the photos don’t line up with text centered vertically, and it doesn’t expand photos that are too small to fill the space in the right column. But it’s a decent workaround until WP sorts it out.
