IE displays half scrollbar (5 posts)

    So, I'm trying to put together a layout with three columns, two of which are fixed. I used this nice fixed positioning code to get it to work in IE.
    Here you can see what I done.
    The only quirk I still might want to iron out is that in IE 6, it cuts off half the scrollbar. Any ideas what's causing that and how to avoid it?

    There's an update dated 9/22/04 regarding scrollbar issue on that jessey.net. Did you apply it already?

    What about adding width: 100% to the body style in the hack ?

    I already had 100%. I've found that changing it to 99.6% brings most of the scrollbar back into view, but that's by far not a perfect solution.
    The tricky part is, I gather, that the width of my .fixed class is 100%, which I do to make sure that I can centre its contents. If I were able to centre the .fixed div itself, then I could set its width to something smaller that wouldn't cause this problem.

    Okay. I added
    body {
    margin: 0px;

    and that fixed it.
