 * I migrated to 1.5 and started using the default theme. It displays perfectly
   in Firefox. However, when viewed in IE it doesn’t look right.
 * The right menu is sent to the bottom of the page and pushes slightly into the
   main text. The header sits down a little bit and displays just wrong.
 * Anyone can take a look in ie at [http://blog.ncsweb.us](http://blog.ncsweb.us)
 * Any help/info would be appreciated. I’m hoping it’s just something I have wrong
   in my code.

 * Yes. Increase the width of the parent container / decrease the content width
   and try and eliminate padding and margins on floated elements if any.

 * I tried adjusting them or removing them altogether but it seems to only make
   it worse.
 * My stylesheet is here:
 * [http://blog.ncsweb.us/wp-content/themes/default/style.css](http://blog.ncsweb.us/wp-content/themes/default/style.css)
 * if that helps if there is anything wrong in there causing IE to display wrong.
 * Why does IE have such a problem yet Firefox works perfectly?

 * IE has some badly broken CSS rendering code. It’s the evillest browser on the
   planet, IMHO. Firefox (and other Gecko browsers), Safari, Konqueror, etc. all
   have their own problems rendering CSS too, but nowhere near as many problems
   as IE on Windows and Mac.

 * Well nine times out of ten when the default develops the drop down menu effect
   it has been caused by an item which is too wide for the menu eg: images or advertising.

 * Thank you for the info. I’ll just play around with the images and perhaps trash
   the default theme if it has such css problems.
 * Microsoft should implement a critical update to all windows users which removes
   IE and installs firefox in it’s place..

 * Just as a follow up I simply changed themes to one I just found that looks very
   similar to the default one but seems to be a much cleaner written one. It displays
   the same in IE anf firefox and coule be easily customized to look just like the
   default theme.

 * [Download it here](http://www.alexking.org/software/wordpress/themes/blue-bye-you.zip)
 * Just thought it might help anyone else with the problem as the default theme
   seems to be touchy in IE.
