I’m having problems using the Dashboard interface when using IE 9. For example I can drag and drop widgets anymore, I can’t cut and paste into posts or pages and none of the WYSIWYG controls work for posts and pages editing.

Is WordPress 3.01 not compatible fully with IE 9 yet?

To be honest, nothing is fully compatible with IE9 yet. IE9 is still in beta, full of bugs, and it’s being actively developed.

If you run into a problem that is specific to IE9, it’s best to report it to Microsoft as an IE9 bug, so that the final product can be as good as possible.

The WordPress Dashboard adheres to web standards and works properly with all of the best browsers out there, including IE8.

A web platform (such as WordPress) or website shouldn’t have to be “compatible” with a browser. It’s the browser that should adhere to web standards, something which IE is notorious for failing at.

Thanks, I’ll be relaying this problem onto the Microsoft TechNet forums.
