    Right before the slideshow you have an unclosed anchor tag, this could be causing some problems:

    <a href="http://www.stefanhuberfilms.at/">

    thanks for your reply jleuze!
    seems like i can’t find the code you just posted, where is it?

    It might look different in the theme, but there should be an anchor somewhere before the slideshow template tag in your header.php file.

    this one?

    <a href="<?php echo esc_url( home_url( '/' ) ); ?>">

    Yes.

    weird… i just wrote it like this:

    <a href="<?php echo esc_url( home_url( '/' ) ); ?>">StefanHuberFilms</a>

    and then i got is a white space over my header showing the Text “StefanHuberFilms” with a link to stefanhuberfilms.at, all ok but then i reverted the header.php to its previous state and nothing changed… i emptied the cache, shows up in Windows, Safari, Chrome and Firefox…

    sorries but i’m a coding noob… 🙁

    It looks OK to me in IE 8/9.

    can you see the white bar above the slider?

    lol i just found out that the “WP Supercache” plugin has show me the cached page although i emptied my browsers cache…

    now it is running…

    the solution was deleting this line:
    <a href="<?php echo esc_url( home_url( '/' ) ); ?>">
    and also this code a few lines below:
    </a>

    thank you so much!
