I’m so green about blogs and WP that I’m almost yellow, just so you know.
But I have an existing account and site with 1&1, and would like to add a blog. I see from searching the forum that quite a few people here have done the same.
Is there already a simple baby steps guide to doing just that, please? Here, or elsewhere, or if anyone would care to jot one down? Just enough to get me set up, and hopefully dodging some of the problems I see answered here (answers for questions I don’t yet even understand).
I’m using XP locally, and (from reading others’ experience here) it sounds like installing MySQL locally, for pre-upload testing, would be sensible too (erm, btw, which version should I get: see above re greenness) .
I’ve found this page, btw, and hopefully it’ll make more sense once I dive in :-
Thanks very much
