Identifying category number

    I have been reading up on how to show a different template for a certain category. I think I have it right that I need to create a tamplate and name it relevant to the category ID number. At the moment I have the named urls – eg /category/kayak-fishing so how do I find out the category number for this category ?

    Ok, solved this myself. I apologise as it was quite simple and I should have looked further before posting.

    Hi glennk…. I have the same question and maybe it is simple, but I have been looking all over and can’t find the category numbers either. hints?
