[resolved] Idea/Request: Attach Content Block to posts (3 posts)

    Hi Johan,

first of all: thanks a lot for such a useful plugin! It really changes the way I'm using WordPress.

I'm currently trying to achieve the following with it:

Having a custom field under each post which allows "attaching" a Content Block to the post. (use case: having different call-to-actions under posts)
The difference to inserting it via the shortcode would be:
    - being able to chose the position of appearance in the post single theme file.
    - being able to set a default Content Block for all posts (without going back and changing/inserting the shortcode everywhere
    - More user friendly for clients

Do you think a feature like this would make sense to have in the plugin? Or could you give me a hint how to achieve this?

    Thanks Johan!

    Hi Philipp,

You can achieve this now by adding a widget area to your theme in the place where you would like the content block to appear and then use a plugin such as http://wordpress.org/plugins/widget-logic/ to dynamically choose the content block to display for each page. I understand that this might not be as userfriendly as the solution you suggest. It is very difficult to implement the suggested feature because I don't know how to make this work for all themes.

    Thanks for the comment Johan.
I resolved it for now by having a custom field under my posts where it's possible to enter the Content Block's shortcode. That's better than going via widgets in my case.
