    Hi team,

Hope you and yours are keeping safe.

I seek your help regarding the ideal configuration settings for using Auto Optimize along with WP fastest cache and JetPack on my blog. I am getting errors on GTMetrix related to defer parsing of javascript an Expirers heading, can these be optimized for via this combination?

    Many thanks!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

best is to use WP Fastest Cache for page caching and let Autoptimize do CSS & JS (& HTML & Google Font & Image) optimization, but it seems you have it configured that way.

most of “defer parsing” and all of the “expires headers” are due to external JS being loaded (e.g. Facebook & Instagram), which AO cannot optimize. for “defer parsing” you could try using the “async javascript” field on AO’s Extra tab or you could try installing the Async Javascript plugin.

    hope this helps,
    frank

    Thank you Frank!

I tried the same and while with Async the results were improved but now I am getting multiple errors – broken internal JavaScript and CSS files.

site looks OK and see no new gtmetrix warnings though?
