Ideal numbers of URLs in XML Sitemap?

    Hello, I’m using Yoast SEO for WordPress. Today I have added almost 35k URLs in my WP.
    What is ideal numbers of URL should I put in each sitemap? Yoast SEO default set to 1000 URLs. Should I change it to something large, like 2000 or 4000?
    If Yes, what is the ideal number, so Googlebots won’t have any problems when crawling my website?

    Per the sitemap guidelines:

    (E)ach Sitemap file that you provide must have no more than 50,000 URLs and must be no larger than 50MB (52,428,800 bytes).
