ID format issue when adding new sidebar

Hi, and sorry to bother you. Been using this plugin for years. I have a site with snippet to have sidebar widgets independently available for certain cpt’s. I have not added a new sidebar in the past year. I just tried and cannot get the ID to remain true when I save the sidebar. I need underscores in the ID in order for them to work (I have many set up already).

My working sidebar’s IDs are like gd_health_left, gd_health_right.

Now when I go in to create new, the IDs save as gdhealthleft, without the underscores saving.

Any ideas how I can get this to save correctly? If I go into the database and add them will I screw something up?
