    On some mobile devices the downloaded ics-Calendar files cannot be opened due to an parsing error.
    The reason is, that the first line in the ics-file is empty. When I remove this empty line, no parsing error will appear anymore.
    How can I repair this? I guess the core of the problem is within em-event.php ($event_string formatting).

    I closed the double post, but still I am looking for a solution. I’ve tried some modifications on ical.php and em-ical.php but with no success. I do not know, how to delete the first empty line.

    No ideas, how to fix it?

    I tried this on our test servers and it seems to be working fine; do you have a sample link with this issue for us to see and analyze?

    I’m also experiencing parsing errors in particular with software that relies on the http://ical4j.sf.net/ library.

    The validator tool at http://ical-validator.herokuapp.com uses this library.
    You can see an example of a failure here.

    I ran into the same issue described by Dirk when trying to use https://icsx5.bitfire.at/ to subscribe to this ICS on my phone.

    @angelo_nwl Any update on this?
    This issue is currently preventing the use of the ICS generated by events manager on Android (through icsx5 that uses ical4j linked above).

    My assumption here is that ical4j is correct as their parser is built following RFC2445. If this is not the case, I’d like to report a bug there in order to address and fix this issue.

    Unfortunately, we are unable to replicate this, however, can you try the latest EM version?

    simpledark, you can create your own thread to avoid confusion with the original author.
