iControl WP and WorpDrive are fantastic

I’ve tried almost every backup and maintenance solution for wordpress on the market and iControlWP is the best. By Far.

Previously I used managewp, the service was inconsistent at best, and support was almost on-existent. I can’t count how many unanswered support tickets I had in my account, nor how many emails from support talking about bugs not yet being fixed or basic services they advertise that dont actually work.

But, icontrolWP is top notch. Support gets back to you in a matter of minutes, not days, and the service works well. The control panel has a nice ui, and allows for complete management of your wordpress installs. The worpdrive feature also works well, and is easy to find what you need and then download it.

In my opinion though,when dealing with backup solutions, it’s not just the backup that counts – it’s the restore. Here, icontrol wp works well too, and gives various options for restoring, copying and cloning your site.

I currently use vaultpress on one client site for backup, and icontrolwp on all my other sites. It is just as good as vaultpress – if not better, because it is less expensive for a better feature set.

I recommend them highly.
