  • I am running the plug and only select icons are showing up, see the page I need help with. Why is the calendar icon showing up but no other icons are showing up? Thank you.

    Looking at the page source, I can see that there are multiple versions of Font Awesome being loaded. One is being loaded by a “js_composer” plugin.

    Another is being loaded by a “wp-fb-review-showcase” plugin.

    There’s also a Font Awesome kit being loaded, and it doesn’t appear to be a kit loaded by this plugin.

    When there are multiple conflicting versions of Font Awesome being loaded, it can be difficult to tell precisely which conflict causes which unexpected result. The goal should be to eliminate all conflicting loads of Font Awesome and get just one version of Font Awesome loading that satisfies all of them.

    This plugin tries to help you do that, but the root cause of the problem is really that those other plugins are each trying to load their own and they are creating conflicts.

    You could try running the conflict scanner from the Troubleshoot tab of this plugin, and then “block” each of the conflicts it finds. That might clear things up for you.

    If it doesn’t, then more drastic measures would be required.

    I ran the conflict scanner and blocked all conflicts (3) that is found. This doesn’t work or solve the issue. What’s strange is the calendar icon on the page shows up just fine but non of the others. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

    I just loaded your site, and it appears that all of those conflicting versions of Font Awesome are still loading. Did you block them and then un-block them?

    I was able to run the conflict detector in the browser and saw that it does still detect those three conflicts.

    All of them are still blocked (wish I could upload a photo to show you). What’s even more strange, is they work just fine on my mobile phone but not on the desktop.

    If they are blocked but still showing up in the browser makes me wonder about caching. Cache differences might also explain why you see it show up differently on two different devices.

    Do you know if your hosting provider uses Varnish cache, or if you have any other kind of page caching enabled through a cache plugin, perhaps?

    I can see that your web server is LiteSpeed. Maybe LiteSpeed Cache is involved?

    It’s also possible that those conflicting versions are being loaded in a non-standard way that this plugin is not able to block, even though it’s trying to. But I think the page caching seems to be more likely explanation right now for why they might be marked as blocked, but are still loading in the browser.
