• Hi there,

I love these customizable social media app icons! The only problem is that they work different from mobile and desktop. The desktop works perfectly! But when I tested it from mobile it only links to the image selected and not the whole article. I don’t want to send people to a photo only because that will just frustrate people when they are thinking they are saving a whole post. Is there a way to fix this?

    Hi,

We are unable to reproduce this issue at our end. Would you let us know your website url so that we can look into it?

We found the plugin sharing the article link rather than just image. See the screenshot at following link:

I am not sure what this means. I don’t use tinypic? Can you please direct me on how to fix this issue? The only plugin I activated for sharing is yours (sassy social share).

I see the screenshot but I’m just not sure what to do with it :/

    You said

So, we captured a screenshot of one of the shared article of your website to show that plugin shares the link of article instead of just the image.
Let us know if you meant anything else.

Oh I see. I was thrown off because I am only using certain icons from the plugin for social sharing, for instance Facebook, Pinterest, Reddit, Twitter, etc. (7 total).

When I just tried to save my puppy chow recipe post on Pinterest it repeated the problem I am having but I am unable to send you a screenshot to explain. It allows me to go through the process of pining the post and writes out the website name so it looks like it is linking and working properly. However, when I click on it I am not directed to the article but ONLY a photo. This only happens on mobile. Through desktop the sharing icons at the bottom of my posts work how they should.

We are unable to reproduce the issue at our end. Our sharing icons work same on mobile and desktop. Might be something related to how Pinterest handles pinned image links on desktop and mobile.
