When I put the shortcode in and display the portfolio as part of my page, it breaks all the icons on my page – they no longer align properly, they take up weird space, they change color and they flip horizontally. I would love to use the plugin because it’s pretty robust and very customizable for a free plugin, but this is a problem that would need to be sorted out before I could use it. This affects any Font Awesome icon I use. I can send a link to the issue in private messages, but due to non-disclosure, I cannot send it here.

  • I have this problem too, seems that converts fontawesome icons to SVG icons

I noticed that shortly after I wrote my post. As a workaround, I set SVGs to specific heights and widths with CSS, but it is absolutely not ideal.

yes, that works. In my case I need to make a lot of adjustments as I have some text, icons and buttons aligned middle in a line so everything falls a part as soon as I adjust it’s width or height.

One workaround would be to use SVGs from the get go, but would be great to solve this problem

    Hey @mitch3ll @blueberry86

You can disable FontAwesome icons used in our plugin. We use SVG implementation, that may conflict with other plugins and themes, that still use the old method.

This FAQ should help – https://visualportfolio.co/documentation/faq/

this very much works, thank you @nko !

This worked for me, as well. Not sure why Google searches didn’t yield this result, but all the same, it fixed the issue. Thanks, @nko !
