Icon has disappeared in the search box

    Hi,

    Last month I added a search form to my functions.php child-theme with the code explained in snippet post

    Everything ok until the last theme updated (on February 20), since then the ‘genericon f400’ (of a magnifying glass) is not displayed before the search form. What could be the cause?

    Just updated my site to use FontAwesome’s icon instead due to this problem and match the new look, Genericons seems to have just died with this theme update.
    Only changed these two entries in child’s CSS
    font-family: ‘fontawesome’;
    content: ‘\f002’;

    Yes, with genericoms it no longer works but with FontAwesome’s runs perfect,
