• Hello,

Could you make others format for icomoon on swift (woff/woff2/eot/svg) like you made for the design 3? Icomoon.ttf is very heavy (116kb) it’d help greatly to improve the pagespeed score of AMP pages.

    Regards.

If you want to improve pagespeed score, We suggest you to use font awesome or CSS icons. This will allow you to improve pagespeed score.

How is that resolved? Do you provide font awesome or CSS icons with AMPforWP? I don’t think so. It’s that hard to use a format that everybody use like Woff/woff2?

@adamfartassi In AMP settings page Design>>Global, below general options tab you can change font icon library to font awesome or CSS icons.

@fahadanwar they’re not the same icon and they clearly don’t care about speed as everyone can see it here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/reduce-size-of-icomoon-ttf/ 100kb for a font on mobile is huge and they can reduce it either by changing the format or reducing the amount of icons loaded on front pages.

+1 for Proper Woff2/WOFF formats for Icomoon and only include the icons used by the design. CSS icons aren’t a proper replacement as of now because they look very dull and the header menu & search icon barely work when we switch to CSS Icons. Fontawesome is even heavier.

A very limited number of people should be using the AMP Page Builder so it’s not a good practice to include such a huge icons file for a normal design that the majority of the sites use.
