I’ve been trying to find an answer to this, but Googling is not turning up anything.

We (a school district) have a large multisite: 1 district site, 60+ school sites.

We have on master calendar on the district site that feeds into the school calendars, but each school calendar can add their own school-only events.

So, I found that there is an /events.ics file on the district site, but it includes all events across all calendars.

Question: is there a way to generate events.ics files for each subsite in the multisite?

You should find there are events.ics file generated for each of the subsites, using the same URL structure.

For some reason it is not working:

    District link: http://www.nps.k12.nj.us/calendar/events.ics
    Subsite link: http://www.nps.k12.nj.us/s17/calendar/events.ics

None of the calendar apps I try the second link with recognize the file or think the .ics file is empty.

The district .ics file is a massive calendar since it pulls all events from all subsites.

Are you using global tables mode? Are there events definitely published events on the subsites that were created on the same subsite?

I think I figured out what happened.

The events.ics file that is generated for subsites is invalid if there are no events in that subsite’s calendar. This is the case for the above example, but when I test another subsite that does have events, the events.ics file loads into a Calendar app just fine.

    Working example: http://www.nps.k12.nj.us/ctl/calendar/events.ics
