  • So, getting things set up wasn’t great but it wasn’t awful and I pretty much managed it.
Problem is that if you revise anything, it sends out a second post rather than editing the original (Journalpress handled this brilliantly until it stopped working.)

    Bigger problem? It autoposts EVERYTHING.
I imported a theme, and had to shamefacedly go delete upwards of 100 posts from each of Twitter, Tumblr and Dreamwidth. Incredibly embarrassing. worse, I turned it off everywhere I could, updated settings, and thought it was fine… but it literally turned back on autoposting when I wasn’t loooking. I had to literally disable the plugin to make it stop. It was spewing CSS, sample pages, individual buttons… it was a mess, and worse, an embarrassing mess.

You’ll notice that I don’t include Facebook, because for no good reason it refused to post to Facebook at all after working perfectly for a while. I guess I got lucky there… :/

The output has always been really iffy, too. Not intuitive, and there’s no preview, you just have to keep sending out test posts, which is annoying for my friends and customers and embarrassing for me.

I used Journalpress for years to crosspost to Livejournal and Dreamdwidth, and there, it would simply post what I wanted it to post, treat that post as a single thing and update it as needed. It was pretty seamless.

This? It tries. I guess. It does not succeed.

This is probably okay for an established site with simple posting, minimal editing and low standards. So, a solid 2 stars.

It autoposts everything ONLY if you set it to autopost everything. You can easily go to the settings and choose what exactly what post types autopost or not.
