Support » Fixing WordPress » I want to embed the US National debt clock

  • I am trying to embed the following:

    <iframe src="http://www.USADebtClock.com/us-debt-clock-widget.php" height="80" width="350" scrolling="no" frameborder="0">
    </iframe>
    <p>Visit <a href="http://www.USADebtClock.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">USADebtClock.com</a> to learn more!</p>

    When I embed it on [ redundant link removed ] the clock does not show…….

    Any ideas?

    Thanx in advance…….

    Mark

    This is weird, but it worked:

    <iframe src='http://www.USADebtClock.com/us-debt-clock-widget.php' height='80'  width='350' scrolling='no' frameborder='0'></iframe>

    I changed the quotes from “smart, curly quotes” to just apostrophes and it works when used with a custom HTML block. This often happens when copying from some web pages and docs.

    Your page has
    <iframe class="lazyload" scrolling="no" data-src="http://www.USADebtClock.com/us-debt-clock-widget.php" src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==" width="350" height="80" frameborder="0"> and not what you listed, probably because of Elemntor.

    Thanx to both of you……..must be an issue with Elementor because even with the change Steve suggested, I still don’t see the clock…….

    I recommend asking at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/elementor/#new-post so the plugin’s developers and support community can help you with this.
