i want the number of posts within in a category to be shown on category.php

if you go to http://conformity-project.org/wp/?cat=2 , you’ll see that at the top i put:

“posts in the (category name) category:”

what i would like it to say is this:

“posts in the (category name) category: (number)”

does that make sense? how do i do that?
