hi, im new to wordpress and im not very good with it!

i tried to put google analytics on my site and i tried to put the google cody onto the functions.php file after reading about it on a thread.

i must have put it in the wrong place as when i updated i got an error screen that says this:

    Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.courchevelinsider.com/wp-admin/theme-editor.php. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
    Here are some suggestions:
    Reload this webpage later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

what have i done???? i cant even get onto the website now to fix anything

    please help me!!

    thanks

    it means nothing to me!

i also dont even know how to download the theme manually to add it to the ftp??

i think im in over my head here!

You need to upload the unpacked theme’s folder to wp-content/themes. Where did you download this theme from originally?

i have managed to reload the theme and my site is now working perfectly. thanks for your help, i really appreciate it!!

You need to use your FTP info to login and navigate to /wp-content/themes from the directory your WordPress installation is on. In there you will see folders which contain the different themes you installed. Simply upload the theme you downloaded and overwrite the old theme files.

    No problem 🙂
