The ultimate would be to have a Paypal module so that visitors may purchase items.

    Great plugin,

    Thank you,

    Hi Ron,

Just to make sure I understand you, you're looking for the ability to make the classifieds board more like an eCommerce site, where a listing is a listing for something to sell and there's a "Buy it Now" kind of button on it, linking to the original poster's PayPal account somehow. Right?

Yes, indeed. What we would have is a hybrid of a classified ad and a multi-vendor marketplace script. This would step up this plugin where there would be no competition in functionality with any other script, and in particular, within the WordPress plugin venue.

Keeping the price reasonable and development simple here is what the features would look like:

1 - There would be no shopping cart - each item would be purchased on a per line item basis. Example: you may purchase several quantities of the same item at one time from the same seller. A shopping cart would be very complicated and labor intensive when you have different products from different vendors, that is if the shipping rates are different

2 - Shipping fees would be manually added for each item, there also may exist a flat fee shipping input field which would be calculated into the total cost for each seller – a shipping module would be a possible future product

3 - Approved sellers would have the option to sell their physical or non tangible products via Paypal. There would be two levels of sellers, those who just place the ad, and those who can place the ad and make the transaction. The ability to download product would need to be created

4 - Create a seller's rating module rating for both product and delivery

    5 - Create a product/service user review module

I present these options to you as this script is well structured both in coding and in the presentation of the user interface. You are quite talented and bring great value to the WP community. Your website is also clean, easy to maneuver and attractive. Your "Another WordPress Classifieds Plugin" contains functions that, for some reason, CraigsList fails to have integrated

I was in the process of looking for a classified ad plugin in order to write a product review at Talking Manuals and I found your product. The product review at Talking Manuals is for any classified script using PHP, not just for WordPress. However this is what I found - scripts that were listed in Hot Scripts and hundreds of other places were either incomplete, just trash with marketing hype or that looked good but there were no way to test nor were there refunds. Plenty of product reviews by customers who were unhappy or just said they were ripped off. If a script author does not offer a community forum, which is public, stay away from the product, don’t even waste your time downloading it.

Congratulations on the classified and business directory plugins you offer, they are both simply quality crafted. Providing a completed full functioning WordPRess plugins then giving the option to purchase modules later is a grand way of marketing. The module prices are very reasonable. Your great work certainly brings value to the WordPress community.

    With gratitude,

Thank you Ron for your extremely kind words. They are very much appreciated.

While AWPCP doesn't do what you want right now, if you are interested in custom work to have that behavior added, we can look into that. Please contact me via the contact form and we can investigate this further: http://awpcp.com/contact.
