• Hello Amit,

I seem somehow to have “lost” the menu on smartphones?

Last week I definitely had the menu appearing on smartphones but something I’ve probably changed since then means that although the “3 lines / hamburger” menu link appears on my Android phone, it won’t open up when I try to click on it.

However, when I use the WordPress option to view my page as PC / Tablet / Smartphone, that method does show a menu.

I’ve been adjusting my header sizing & wondered whether I’ve perhaps changed the smartphone menu somehow?

Do you have any suggestions as to what I should check as a quick look around the options seems to suggest all’s correct.

Sorry for all the questions – it’s actually OceanWP’s fault as the theme is toooo flexible (well that’s my excuse!!)

    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello,

Go to Dashboard > Theme Panel > Scripts & Style and check the mobile menu files are enabled or not?
Try to Disable/enable plugin one by one to check for a possible conflict.

    Thank you Amit,

As you suggested, the problem is/was being caused by a plugin conflict.

I’d recently added Async JavaScript, Autoptimize & Far Future Expiration Plugins & had forgotten that the Async JavaScript plugin had caused something similar on another WP site (your reply reminded me).

Temporarily deactivating Async JavaScript allows the mobile menu to appear again, but I’d prefer to keep the plugin active if possible.

I can see there are options to exclude Scripts, Plugins or Themes from being dealt with by the plugin in and I’ve looked at the settings on that other website but can’t, at the moment, see why the plugin is causing the mobile menu to not appear on this one.

I’ll have to investigate this further – do you have any suggestions as to where/why the conflict might be occurring?

    Thanks for your help.

I think, there are some settings in the plugin which causing this issue. But I need to check the issue to know exactly which setting causing the problem.
