  • Hi,

Thank you for using our plugin. Can you tell me what were you looking for and didn’t find using Profile Builder? Your feed-back is really appreciated.

If you use Profile Builder and want to stop spam accounts:

    – You can set up the Email Confirmation feature.

    Profile Builder Hobbyist version has Extra Fields Types and one of them is the reCAPTCHA field. Also you can use the Admin Approval feature available in the Hobbyist version;

Keep in mind that users can register into your website using the Default WordPress Registration page (http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-login.php?action=register).

To stop spam accounts created on this page use a free plugin like Stop Spammer Registration Plugin and also add a captcha field by using this plugin Captcha by BestWebSoft

Test them out and let me know if this fixed your issue.

    Thank You.
I see that you are right, people are actually registering using the standard wordpress registration. It is some kind of coincidence that after 4 years of wordpress, this only started happening after I installed Profile Builder.

To stop this problem I will try one of your plugins to stop the registration.

Regarding feedback, I felt like its use was going to be very complex for what I am trying to do.

I am trying to put training videos on my website. I am a videographer and I have videos all over my website. One customer wants me to create a training Area for him to put his training videos. He would sell the training video.

Then I would enable that person to log in, and watch the training video. But only that video and only that person.

Then, if the person stops in the middle of a video, it somehow gets stored in his profile, so he can return and it knows where he was in the video so he can resume.

Looking at Profile Builder, I could not even see how to start doing this.

    Hi,

Thank you for your feed-back. With Profile Builder you can let users register, login, edit profile (it has many other features).

Regarding the restrict I suggest you use a free plugin like Members.

The video part maybe it can be achieved with a theme.

    Best regards,
