    what did I DO?!?!?

my wordpress site was at joaniemoore.com/wp and I wanted to move it to the root directory.

I went into the htaccess and removed the /wp
Went into the settings on WP and changed the URL there to remove /wp

Then I dragged and dropped the WP folders and files to the root

Hmmm… something didn’t work. Any help, please? Thank you!

Here is the correct way to move your blog to root.

WordPress also shows how to do it – Moving WordPress.

If you can get your site back to the way it was, then follow these directions.

Also, make sure if your blog files are still in the /wp directory, you open up your index.php file and point the wp-blog-header.php to the right place.
