• Hello,
So today I installed WP to a second domain in my hosting account/file manager. I didn’t realize I pointed it to the home directory that was already another website.

I have since uninstalled WP to the second site (tristate.builders), and trying to get the original website back (bluestonepizzeria.com). I have a back up from this morning, it’s stored in the root directory.

I’m trying to figure out the EXACT path to put the original site back up.

    Help!!

  • Hi mm22mm,

Since each host may have their servers set up a bit differently, your web host will be the best place to go to for this answer. For instance, on my web host, my main/primary domain document root is public_html (found just under my cPanel user name). My addon domains are public_html/exampleaddon.com.

If your host doesn’t have online documentation that tells you where your document root is, you will want to call, email, or chat with them (whichever communication method is available and most convenient for you).

Thanks, Christi! I did call them that day, and figured it out.
