Support » Plugin: File Manager » I never installed this plugin, it appeared automatically

  • This is highly suspicious plugin. I never installed this plugin but I saw it in my back end somehow. So I deleted it. First, I thought that it was an extension of the new version of WordPress. But then I saw a note that I can buy pro version etc. So I thought this was not WordPress’ extension. I read the reviews and saw that many people are hacked because fo this problem. Delete it urgently if you installed it already. Obviously it is not safe, and it is installing itself without permission somehow. This is not right! WordPress should ban this plugin.

@uckunb, It’s quite impossible to install this plugin by itself on your site; not only this, any plugins on the WordPress.org repository has not permission to install automatically to any site. Impossible! Somehow anyone on your site installs this plugin, and then you’ll get the plugin notification on your dashboard. Otherwise, it’s impossible to install on your site by itself.

I hope an experienced support volunteer explains you better.

I hope that helps and clarifies.

@uckunb I found something for you, Maybe this is helpful for you.
