I need to retrieve a deleted post!

    I have a serious problem on my hands. I deleted a bunch of test posts and along with them accidently one important post. This post was actually a guide where I have been working on for many hours. This post is also a new post and I don’t have a back up for it. What’s more, it’s not indexed by Google either. Please tell me there is a way that I can retrieve it!

    If you don’t have a backup and you deleted it then I think your out of luck.

    Might ask your host if they have a database backup.

    Wouldn’t the revisions still be in the daatabase? Or do they get whacked when you erase a post?

    I was wondering the same thing as Ipstenu. I also don’t think that my host will have a database backup… I can’t believe I have to do everything all over again.. *sigh*

    No, they’re deleted along with the post. Good thing…if not, that could lead to a lot of bloat in the post table real fast.

    I checked my wp_posts and it looks like not 🙁 You could scour yours, though.

    Not a trace remains… I guess I’ll have to face up to the fact that I will have to write it all over again. Thanks for trying to help me out guys.
