I need to redirect some pages

    Add this to your .htaccess file, all on one line with a space dividing the two (not two lines, like this forum does due to the content area width)

    Redirect permanent /United_States_Coin_Mintages_Price_Guides.html http://coinauctionshelp.com/us-coin-values/

    I did and it causes a 500 internal server error.

    Try:

    Redirect 301 /United_States_Coin_Mintages_Price_Guides.html http://coinauctionshelp.com/us-coin-values/

    If that triggers a 500 too, contact your hosting provider, as this is basic Apache server functionality.
