I’ve developed most of a WooCommerce store from the BigCommerce platform I’ve been using. Had I known before I started how much more work it would be for me to create and maintain the variable pricing in Variations it probably would have been a deal killer for me. It’s hard to understand how such a prolific platform like WooCommerce would have such an inflexible and absurd pricing engine.

If I have a product with 3 variations having 10 terms each, that might involve creating as many as 30 rules, but with WooCommerce the number of rules necessary goes up exponentially. Maintaining them requires looking through them requires searching through a dizzying amount if irrelevant information. A major problem is that you have to calculate the final price, you can’t just enter the additional cost for this option or that option, which creates a lot of opportunity for errors.

I found the Bulk Variations Manager plugin outside the Woo plugin community from StoreApps. This does exactly what I want, which is to set a base price for a product, set the applicable Attributes, then add the relevant Terms and set the price increase for those terms. However, after trying to use the app I’ve found there’s almost no documentation, the Attributes/Terms are in random order and very difficult to locate the right one if you have a lot of them and so far I haven’t been able to get it to work on my site (I’m communicating with the support team to see if I can get it working).

Can anyone suggest a Variations plugin that allows the user to set a product base price, then allow additional costs to be assigned to specific Attribute terms?
