• Hello,
I currently use free-mysql.BizHostNet.com for my free MySQL host, but the service runs incredibly slowly. I would love to know of a free, ad-free and fast pure MySQL host that allows WordPress 2. I’m probably asking too much, but I would really love to have something like this.

  • I’ve seen lots of slow free MySQL hosts, but none that were decently fast. You get what you pay for, I suppose.

Grinhost.com offers free webhosting with unlimited mysql databases. This is what grinhost offers
    200 Mb of space.
    2 GB of traffic permonth.
    Free subdomain of your choice.
    The CPanel control panel.
    No forced advertisements.
Your ads like google adsense are allowed.
    Unlimited MySQL databases.
Ok this is sort of a ad as I am the admin there, but I would say that the hosting is pretty fast. We are running our site grinhost.com on the same servers as we give to our users. Continous participation on our forums is a requirement for being hosted with us.

I host my WordPress Site for free with Awardspace. Read an Awardspace review I wrote on them.

I’m going to do a blatant and shameless self-plug: I’ve just set up a free MySQL 5.0 host at http://www.yoursequel.com. It’s usage is low, but that means it’s fast! I give 100 MB to start with, but if you need more email me at we_are@yoursequel.com. And there are no ads or “link back to us” requirements or “sign up with our trusted partners” junk.

Set it up yourself and run it on localhost. Because you’re not sharing, it’s bound to be as fast as you can get it, depending on your hardware.

Hey sigfrid3141 what happened with your MySQL server????
    Its not working…
MySQL Error: 1040 Too many connections

Well rpeter, it seems you answered the question:
–> MySQL Error: 1040 Too many connections <–

Now what happend to YourSequel – Well if anyone comes across this site you’ll find that http://www.freemysql.net is still up and running. YourSequel is curently something like “beauty go round” with an image 🙁
