Support » Plugin: Yoast SEO » I loved Yoast

  • The Onpage.org arrangement is a time stealer. Convoluted, unnecessary and demanding, I never had enough time to actually get it to work. After 3 emails from onpage, still no worky.

This has long been a favorite, must-have plugin. But now there are many other options. I’ve received a lot of free service from Yoast and it will probably take a year to completely switch to something else or nothing. But right now, I feel like nothing is easier and less time consuming. I must have clicked “hide this notice” three thousand times last year.

The onpage.org button was the final decision maker for me. 2016 requires a better user experience for everyone. Always trying to selling me is moving me towards a better experience elsewhere. Did Goldman Sach’s buy Yoast or something? Maybe that other seo plugin is better now.

Wishing Joost luck and grateful for the years of service. I’ll still recommend the plugin to others as well as some of the KB. But I gotta keep moving, no time to respond to ads on every page load.\

    Update
Thanks for the 500th reminder to buy your plugin. Helps me find installs to delete.

    Update 2
Yoast is officially turning the wordpress dashboard into an advertising campaign. This plugin seems to help but Yoast doesn’t seem to help seo any longer so it’s probably best to just remove the plugin.

    Hi @wowtech,

Sorry it’s taken us so long to get back to you. Almost 9 months have passed since your review. Are you still using our plugin? If not, we’ve made a ton of changes to Yoast SEO and would like to invite you to give the plugin a new try. In fact, we’ve added functionality to disable entire parts of the plugin, to allow you to use only what you need. Notifications and tools can be toggled on and off to your liking.

If you want to learn more about the plugin before installing it, we feel our knowledge base is the best place to start.

    Thanks!
