This sounds horrible, but it is also unlikely that this plugin deleted your posts.
Did you heed the warning to create a backup before running the optimize task ?

I did not see the warning and I suspect it’s because the automatic update by WordPress from 4.2.1 to 4.7.
Do you know how to restore my site using the backup file?
Thank you 🙂
What kind of backup do you have?
it’s tar file backup, generated from this backupwp plugin.
I found one backup file that is located in my hosting site: (hostgator) at /backupwordpress/home2/mullie/public_html/wp_backup1472786852.tar.gz
I can access my server via FTP.
You should be able to restore the database from this backup using this guide: http://codex.wordpress.org/Restoring_Your_Database_From_Backup
Using phpmyadmin. I am not familiar with this specific backup plugin, but if youextract the tar file you will probably find the exported database file.
me too.
I created a backup with backupguard.
I ran the wp-optimize. now I can call the main page: CarriereCoaching.de
but non of the other pages work.
I just get “Not Found
The requested document was not found on this server.
Web Server at carrierecoaching.de”
the strange thing is: 1. if I go on wordpress I see the pages! I actualize and it sais ok, buts still nothing works.
if I try to restore the backup it sais error.
I send the restore logfile to backupguard support, they say the archive is deleted…
do you have any suggestions?
