Thank you for your question.
After checking the issue, It seems that our plugin works properly on our side.
However, you may install more than one protection plugin and forget to deactivate them.
So, we suggest checking your plugins tab, checking if there are other different protection plugins, disabling them, clearing cache and trying.
After that, if you still face the issue, we suggest you disable all plugins and try our plugin alone, then activate one by one with trying to find out the plugin that causes the issue.

The only other protection plugin I have is Wordfence so you may want to investigate further. I can’t use you plugging if it changes the normal function of all clicks.
Please check again you should be able to just click on any picture and link and have it work. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DOUBLE CLICK! and that only happens once your plugin is enabled. I am an IT guy of 32 years I am not wrong about this!
