I have easy wp smtp plugin installed and working fine with contact 7 form plugin. I also tested by sending email and email delivers fine no problem

BUT when i try the forgot password feature of wordpress from lostpassword login screen of wordpress am greeted with this error message

The email could not be sent.
Possible reason: your host may have disabled the mail() function.

How do i integrate easy wp smtp so that this error gets solved?
    Thanks

Hi, can you carry out a test. Can you disable Easy WP SMTP, then try again the lost your password from the login screen option. If you receive the same error message then you know our plugin is not at fault. Something else in your site is causing this issue.

    Kind regards

Isn’t the plugin supposed to help send email for wordpress?

The point is the plugin supposed to be the one sending the email for woprdpress
So ofcourse i will get same error if i disable the plugin
Can you have the plugin developer reply because seems you don’t understand my issue

i think i found a plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/post-smtp/ that fixes this problem
all i did is setup smtp settings like i did with your plugin and it works
but your plugin will not work

anyways will just delete your plugin and use the other plugin then since you dont even know what the plugin supposed to do in the first place and yet replying to support forum post

Hi, my apologies if my method did not help you.

The reason why I asked you to disable our plugin was to test if there was a plugin conflict in your site. Plugin conflicts is a common issue in WordPress. Also there are thousands of users running our plugin in their site without an issue.

I am also happy to know that using another plugin fixed your issue.

    Kind regards
