I have encounter an error trying to upload photos to media

    Hi,

    I was trying to upload my photos to my website after i reinstall wordpress from my back up. This is the error I encounter.

    “(Smallwhite).png” has failed to upload due to an error
    The uploaded file could not be moved to /var/www/vhosts/soakability.com/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/2013/05.

    Please help.

    It is the permissions on your uploads folder. Try connecting via FTP and set the uploads folder, and sub folders to permissions 777 and then test your upload then, it should work.

    But it isn’t a good idea to keep these permissions set to 777.
