    There are too many backup warnings and if you try to activate some intermediate features (like simply changing login URL) you are warned that your site can break. These are all obvious signs that the plugin is well build but it’s also not for the faint of heart. 🙂 So I dropped it.
    btw: when I tried to backup .htaccess it simply failed to do so

    Yes, I do agree that the plugin has many features and that for some it might be challenging to understand what to enable and what not. You do have to read carefully the information next to every option before enabling it.

    In regards to backing up your .htaccess file did you check your files permissions?

    As a rule of thumb, the more options available to enable in a security plugin the greater the level of protection and less chance of being hacked 🙂

    Your quick reply is another sign of good business people behind this plugin.
    I believe these tough security plugins should be activated when a site is just in its early stage. Since my site is a complicated one I didn’t want to take the risk. 🙂
