I goofed up and lost my site :(

I was trying to fix my site, then I messed it up somehow!

First problem:
When I share my site (www.jamiesossamon.com) on facebook, it shows my OLD gravatar pic (which I’ve updated and removed the old one, but for some reason, it’s still there!!) and I found a link through this forum to fix it, or so I thought…

I was doing as this said:
http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-avoid-no-thumbnail-issue-while-sharing-post-on-facebook/

And then it gave me this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘function’ (T_FUNCTION) in /home3/docsoss/public_html/wp-content/themes/sidney-master/functions.php on line 3

NOW, my site is no longer working at all, and it gives me that error.

I went back and took off what I added per that blog post, and updated it, but it keeps giving me that error!!

I hope someone can help me fix this issue…I have NO CLUE what I did to mess up this badly 🙁
