# i get an update error..

    sometimes i get this kind of error when i install a plugin or a theme. _Warning:
   An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this
   server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the [support forums](https://wordpress.org/support/).(
   WordPress could not establish a secure connection to WordPress.org. Please contact
   your server administrator.) in C:\xampplite\htdocs\www.notify.dev\wp-includes\
   update.php on line 303_ what is this error? how to fix this? please i need your
   help

 * I get this periodically when working in localhost. It just means that your local
   machine is having difficulty communicating with wordpress.org. (I’m on satellite
   internet; a lot of weird stuff happens like that.)

 * I have not noticed that it does. But when I get some spare time, I’ll investigate
   this further.
