I dont want any posts on my site – how do I do this?

I’ve decided that I dont really want posts on my site. I have reorganised how I work and just want static pages. However when I first set the site up I set it up with posts and a menu tab. I cant remember how to remove this. I have made the posts private to stop them from appearing but is there a way to deal with the menu tab?

its so frustrating, I’ve spent the better part of 2 hours trying to figure it out.

Can anyone help?
