I don’t understand how to upload themes

  • I have read the information on “Docs” on how to get more themes. I got filezilla but could not find a folder called wp-content/themes, to upload themes onto do I have to make a folder called wp-content? I have tried making a folder but I still didn’t work.

  • If you have WP installed and working… you MUST have a wp-content/themes/something folder. Otherwise WP doeasn’t work.
Can you connect to your server through the newly installed Filezilla?

I can conect to my server but the only files there are,
    ..
    .cpanel-datastore
    .fantasticodata
    .trash
    ect
    mail
    public_ftp
    public_html
    tmp
    www

Your shouldn’t care about anything – EXCEPT public_html.
That’s where everything that will be visible to the public is placed.
So, click on that folder and you’ll see your whole WP installation. I hope 🙂

    yes this is it 🙂

    click on public_html/

then if your wordpress is on the root

    click on :

    wp-content/themes/something folder // as moshu mentioned .

if your wordpress is in a folder

    wordpress-folder/wp-content/themes/something folder

Thanks I found it under blog in public_html now I should work!
