    I had a what I thought was a great blog going and great links from Google to my stories. Suddenly I go to my site and everything is gone. The site looks new and fancy but the links from Google say the entries no longer exists.

    What happened to all the stuff I wrote, all the images I posted and all the great comments I received? Is thee some place I can go to find them or are they gone forever? And will this dissapearing act happen again?

    um, did you upgrade your version of wordpress? the only way I can think of that you’d lose everything would be if your database got wiped out…

    Nope, I just opened it up and there was this bright blue header staring at me. And everything else was gone. How can I get those old posts back? Is it possible?

    Sounds like a hosting problem to me, if you didn’t change anything and then its suddenly gone. Have you asked them?

    Do you have access to the database your blog content is in?

    I’d look there to make sure the posts, comments, etc still reside in it, and if not contact your host to find out 1. if there may have been an issue on the server that would cause you to lose it, and 2. if they have a recent backup they can restore from.
