    Good morning,

    I am a newbie with hosting/domains and etc cases

    I bought a domain for GoDaddy. I founded WordPress. Everything was okay, my site was searched at http://www.danielbugiel.com Yesterday – 11/02/2019 I saw unread emails from WordPress where it was written:

    “Your name servers are currently set to:
    ns17.domaincontrol.com
    ns18.domaincontrol.com

    These will need to be changed to:
    NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
    NS3.WORDPRESS.COM ”

    I set in goDaddy 1 thing: NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and clicked accept. After that I read that my site will be shown as http://www.danielbugiel.wordpress.com. I do not want this because I prefer the original name: http://www.danielbugiel.com. So I changed to the default settings (in Godaddy) and clicked accept. Today 12/02/2019 my site is not working. WP shows me:
    “DNS configuration required”.

    On GoDaddy, “name servers” have changed from:

    ns17.domaincontrol.com
    ns18.domaincontrol.com

    on:
    ns45.domaincontrol.com
    ns46.domaincontrol.com

    Then I went to WP and read:
    “Connect Your Domain
    Your domain provider supports automatically with your WordPress.com.

    Clicking the button below. You can be connected to WordPress.com site and you will be redirected to WordPress.com. ”

    I did it and after some time, my website starts working but I saw my old one instead of that I was working with before. The previous one has a label “This site cannot be accessed”. Then I go to GoDaddy C-panel and make a backup and downloaded it.

    Then I go to WP > Dashboard > Tools > Import and used it.

    After that I have an info:

    “Processing…
    We’re processing your import now and will send you an email when it’s all done. If you don’t hear from us within 24 hours, please contact support, and we’ll get everything fixed.”

    After that everything will be as before? I mean I will have an access to my previous website and plugins and everything? (now I see 2: danielbugiel.wordpress.com and “BugielSystems” danielbugiel.com)

    Please help me out with this because I am stupid with that and did something I shouldn’t.

    You should not change the name servers when your website is working fine.

    1. Do you want to use self-host WordPress(.org) or free WordPress.com hosting?

    2. where do you want to host your WordPress site? GoDaddy or WordPress.com?

    1. I think WordPress.com: because I can see 2 pages:
    danielbugiel.com – “mapped domain” and “primary domain”
    danielbugiel.wordpress.com – which redirects to danielbugiel.com

    2. GoDaddy because I have a hosting plan there.

    What should I do to make it works again as before?

    When I want to choose WordPress.org – Will I be able to upload plugins from Themify and work with them as I did before everything crushed?
