Thanks for the update!
I’m too tired to test it out right now, but from a quick glance it seems to have been fixed!
The widget no longer goes to the inactive section, so I think you finally fixed it 🙂
I will let you know if and once I spot anything unusual.
EDIT: I also see an orange line on top of the widget, that’s normal right?
It’s a nice little addition for diversifying.

So far, so good… That’s brilliant to hear.
And yes, I added that top border to help myself identify the sidebars during testing (I don’t want to even think about how many times I’ve created widgets I the past day)… I found it useful so thought I’d leave it in.
Hi toddhalfpenny
I am using your plugin to show widgets on pages with shortcode not in sidebars. After updating the plugin I have the same issues with inactive widgets and can’t bring back them to live again. My php-version is 7.0.17 so it seems that this issue appears not only on older versions.
To get the site up and running again I will go back to the older version and wait for the fix.
Thanks for the plugin, it was always running without any problems.
Hey @venus10,
Sorry to hear. Could you please post the name of the theme you’re using, so that I can try to reproduce that it also fixed in the v1.0.5 that I have released in beta?
Thanks, Todd
Hi @toddhalfpenny
the theme’s name is Dorayaki Version: 1.0.1 by Elmastudio. sanafit.ch is the website, which is running now with the old version. Thanks for your effort.
Carlotta
Cheers @venus10.
Then yes this looks like the same issue, and the v1.0.5 build that is currently being tested should resolve this.
Apologies again for the pain this has caused.
The 1.0.5 version seems to be stable all these days of testing in my case, so I’d say it’s time to release it officially 🙂
That’s really great to hear @catmaniax, thanks ever so much for your assistance.
I still have further tests (upgrading from diff versions) to run, but once I’m happy with these I will push.
No problem, happy to help 🙂
I did have the described issue. Using elmastudio’s Dorayaki theme. The new beta fixes the issue. You can check it out here http://www.lsv-grenzland.de
Thanks Todd
cheers

Ah great @lsv-grenzland, thanks a million for posting… Info and details like this is invaluable to me. Ta.
Hi Todd, can you say when you upload the fixed update? I’ve got the same problem and maybe it’s better to wait instead to downgrade the plugin?
Thanks for reply and Greetings
nadine
Hi @gokeeffe87,
Yes, for sure… I am pretty sure I have run all tests now (including updates from v0.0.12 and latest v1.0.4) and everything is looking good. I have a busy day today so am planning on releasing early tomorrow morning (UK time), so that I am around to catch any strange reports that might come in (fingers crossed they don’t).
The fix for this also includes a fix for the scenaio where widgets settings are lost when swapping themes and also some code to report analytics/crashes so that I can hopefully push better updates out.
I’m also very sorry to hear that your site has also seen this issue, and that the fix tomorrow morning will solve your problem.
Hi @jaroslawistok, @gokeeffe87, @catmaniax, @lsv-grenzland, @venus10 (and everyone else),
I have just pushed v1.1.0 up to the repo. Please let me know how you get on.
