Till yesterday all was working well but I guess because of autoupdate now nothing worked anymore. While the idea with extra menu for Plugin and numbered sidebars is good it doesn’t work for me. I looked for php Version as in thread before, it’s 5.6.30.

I just cant’t place a widget in the side bar. After Update it desappears again. Was happy to have the older version as File and have installed it again…

@upeuker @kech61 @catmaniax – Any chance you could please post the names of the Sidebars that had this “deactivating widgets” issue with?
At the moment I failing to be able to re-create the problem at all 🙁

    Hey there,
    same issue here…
I don’t know how the name would play a role but for example one of my sidebars is called “VINYL-VERVIELFÄLTIGUNG” another one “KONTAKT” and “KONTAKT2”. They all have the problem.

Where to get a zip of and older version? I need a solution quiet urgently…

If I can help you out in finding the issue in any other way – please let me know!

    Hi @duophonic,

Sorry to hear you’re also seeing this.
The names might be able to help me reproduce, thanks for supplying.

The other versions can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

    Hey,

My sidebar is called thanks and the theme is “Arcade” by Bavotosan.

My sidebars called “Contact”, “Team Front” and “Services”.

I had the exact problem like @upeuker, also with the dorayaki theme from the developer “Elmastudio”.

    @ra_npl
    wow I’m using dorayaki too!

Thanks all for all your info. I’ll now use this to try to see if I can reproduce.

@catmaniax, you could maybe try renaming (I think) as one of the previous posters did and they had success.

I renamed it but the problem is still there.

Hey @catmaniax, so looks like this is an intermittent issue and is theme related.
With Arcade Basic installed (free version of the one you have) I can see that my Widgets that I add to a “thanks” Turbo Sidebar end up moving to the theme’s “First Sidebar”. Could you let me know if you see similar?

I have tried a couple of other premium 3rd party themes too, most seem to work OK but at least one other also seems to “nick” the widgets from the Turbo Sidebars. At least I now have a lead on where to dig further.

@kech61, @mischamole Any chance you could let me know the theme’s you have please?
    Thanks.

Hey, no it does not move to the first sidebar, it just goes to the inactive widgets.

    Ta @catmaniax

OK, I think I have worked it out. Would anyone be up for taking a beta version to test out?

    Yeah, please post 🙂

    Great stuff @catmaniax.

I’m just putting it through a set of tests at the mo. I will post a link once I’m happy. Ta.

@catmaniax – Beta Version of v1.0.5 can be found here.
I have tested a few scenarios across the default WordPress themes as well as Arcade Basic and a couple of other 3rd party themes that it was having issues… all looks good so far.
Honestly, huge thanks for assisting with this, Todd
