I could not manage to make the plug-in work…

    Hi there !
    I really do my best since 48h to make this plug-in working, now am gonna ask I had the feeling I am missing something important here.

    I am running WordPress 5.5 with unicon-child theme, using Firefox on WIn10. Everything is up to date, plug-in is activated, Setting > Reading Post pagepage set to “–select–“, and static page for homepage > home. Using either WPbakery Page Builder or Guthenberg.

    I start everything from scratch to create a mywebsite/news with a List or Grid with for instance this code “[bdp_post design=”design-2″ grid=”2″ show_author=”false”]” in Guthenberg Shortcode where will be in the future all News like mywebsite/news/news01, mywebsite/news/news02 etc… gathered with thumb and ordered the way the shortcode builder indicate. Main News Page is over right ?.

    Then I create a new “page” with template as default not blog ? with parent page set to “/news” to have the format “mywebsite/news/news01”, “mywebsite/news/news02” and not “mywebsite/news01, mywebsite/news02” ? Where I will use featured image to set up a thumb for the “mywebsite/news” grid? I don’t find any category Option? Does “news01, news02…” also need a shortcode or just stay a simple Page organized with all options offers by Guthenberg…

    I succeed using your concurrent “WP N*** and blabla” but as I canno’t understand what is wrong here I want to go further with yours (it’s irrationnal yes), I also think you offer more quality support.

    I don’t have at the moment any URL to offer as I deactivate and deinstall everything at the moment as now the first step to “create a blog page” with “/news” did not even work after all my different tries…

    I am sure I do something wrong from the real beginning… and am gonna feel idiot afterwards 😊

    I did not buy the premium version yet for this reason above.

    Thanks for your detailed response. I really appreciate it.

    News & Blog Designer Pack plugin is quite simple and easy to use. It is created with shortcodes and widgets so you just need to put the plugin shortcode in any page and post to get the output.

    Plugin works with WordPress default post.

    So lets go to set by step.

    1) First create any page. e.g Test News
    2) Put the below shortcode in page editor and save it.
    [bdp_post design="design-2" grid="2" show_author="false"]
    3) Now view the page at front end so you can easily see the post grid with two columns.

    Please try this and let me know if there is anything.

    Thanks for your answer ! Fully appreciated !
    All your step are working so far from your answer, why before not…I dunno 🙂
    I create website/news page with the shortcode [bdp_post design=”design-2″ grid=”2″ show_author=”false”], and then I create 2 “post” and not “pages” without any shortcode inside, just content and the website/news get automaticcaly updated as soon as a post is created, the grid is here, author is gone (great).

    But I still have the author in the post itself (I guess I have to add some extra css here on WP or create a generic username) and second I would prefer the url looking this way : website/news/news01, website/news/news02 and not website/news01, website/news02 the reason I would like to use “pages” to modify “parent pages”.

    For your query,

    Ans – I think you are talking about the post single page or detailed page when we click on ‘Read More’ button on grid.

    Actually single page is not handled by plugin. It is dependent on your theme and handled by it to maintain the look and feel according to your website.

    2) Second I would prefer the url looking this way : website/news/news01, website/news/news02 and not website/news01, website/news02

    Ans – Plugin works with your WordPress default post section and it have WordPress permalink structure like this.

    In case if you want to change the post permalink structure then you can try any third party plugin for this.
