I get the error, “The uploaded file could not be moved to.” when I try and upload a picture with a post. In the Options/Miscellaneous category of my blog admin it says that the default location for uploads is wp-content/uploads. I noticed on my web server that this directory didn’t exist, so I created “uploads” under the “wp-content” directory. Still no luck.

    Any ideas?

  • Change the permissions of the uploads directory you created to 777 (drwxrwxrwx).

Excellent. thank you. Now i’ve encountered a second problem. I’ve uploaded the picture in the post section, but it’s not actually showing up in the published post on my blog.

Edit: I figured it out. Thanks!

More details? You did an insert to the post, and you could see it in preview but not once published (can’t see on the ‘real’ page)?

If so, clear your cache ;’)
