    Q1. I have a self-hosted video and I can’t see the quality selector!

Kindly go to the “Video Gallery => All Videos” menu from your WordPress Admin Dashboard, edit and open one of your videos, and scroll down to the “Video Sources” section. There should be an option to add more quality levels. Kindly make sure you have added your video in several qualities using this option.

The quality selector in the player shows only if a video is available in more than one quality level.

I understand you expect the plugin to automatically convert the videos in several qualities and give it as an option in the player. Sorry, our current version doesn’t do this.

Technically this requires some server-side tools like FFMPEG installed on your server. We already have a plan to make this dynamic by adding support for FFMPEG. I promise that we will have this very soon in the future. Kindly be patient.

Q2. The media playback was aborted due to a corruption problem or because the media used features your browser did not support.

Probably the codec supported by your video file is invalid. The solution is to re-encode your video using suitable video codec. Kindly re-encode your video file using Handbrake https://handbrake.fr/.

    Recommended CODECs are,

    Video: H264
    Audio: AAC

    Recommended format: Mp4

Handbrake is a FREE encoder which you can use to re-encode your videos. Kindly refer “Encoding H.264 Video with HandBrake” section in http://diveintohtml5.info/video.html

    Hope this solved your issue.
